Arkansas

Arkansas 2022 ballot measures:

Recreational Marijuana Initiative. This measure would legalize marijuana use for individuals 21 years of age and older regardless of residency.

The initiative failed to pass with a vote of 56.26 percent against and 43.74 percent for.

Maryland

Maryland 2022 ballot measures:

Marijuana Legalization Amendment. The measure would amend the Maryland Constitution to add a new article, which would authorize individuals 21 years of age or older to use and possess marijuana.

The amendment passed with a vote of 65.54 percent for and 34.46 percent against.

Missouri

Missouri 2022 ballot measures:

Marijuana Legalization Initiative. The initiative would legalize the purchase, possession, consumption, use, delivery, manufacturing, and sale of marijuana for personal use for adults over the age of 21; allow individuals convicted of non-violent marijuana-related offenses to petition to be released from incarceration and/or have their records expunged; and impose a 6% tax on the sale of marijuana.

The amendment passed with a vote of 53.11 percent for and 46.89 percent against.

North Dakota

North Dakota 2022 ballot measures:

Marijuana Legalization Initiative. This measure would legalize the possession of cannabis for adults 21 and older and allow individuals to grow up to three cannabis plants. The measure would require the Department of Health and Human Services, or another department or agency designated by the state legislature, to establish an adult-use cannabis program to regulate the production and distribution of adult-use marijuana by October 1, 2023.

The statutory measure failed to pass with a vote of 54.95 percent against and 45.05 percent for.

South Dakota

South Dakota 2022 ballot measures:

Marijuana Legalization Initiative. The measure would legalize marijuana use, possession, and distribution for individuals 21 years old and older.

The statutory measure failed to pass with a vote of 52.92 percent against and 47.08 percent for.
